Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Center (NGMC) has an immediate opening for a Senior Manager of Strategic Planning. This position reports to Mclean, VA or Linthicum, Maryland. Remote candidates too will be considered. This position plays a critical role driving the Center’s long-term growth.
The selected candidate will be responsible for leading strategic planning and business development for the NGMC and will report to the Senior Director for Strategy & Growth. The candidate will provide derive the center’s strategic planning process and will support industry intelligence analysis, market analysis and business case analysis. The successful candidate will also support NCTA (R&D) planning and allocation, develop presentations on NGMC priorities to senior management, and support external communications. The candidate will work closely with a broader support team of subject matter experts from the NGMC organization, other NG organizations and external consultants in leading these areas under the direction of the Senior Director. The successful candidate will be an action-oriented, collaborative, and detailed-oriented self-starter who demonstrates the ability to successfully leverage and apply applicable experience to this dynamic and evolving role.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities Include:
Help formalize the center’s strategic planning process and refine its strategyConducting intelligence analysis, market analysis, competitive assessments and business case analysis in support of various strategic initiatives, including capture/ partnering strategy as neededPlanning and management of investment NCTA (M&S, B&P, IRAD) project funds, schedule, and execution.Develop communication material (Presentations) for executive leadershipSupport inter-organization engagement by driving the agenda and coordinating the preparation fCommunications strategy development & implementation (in support of the comms team)Other special projects as neededBasic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 10 or more years of experience or master’s degree with 8 or more years of experience in business, finance, technical or related disciplineAbility to collect, analyze and synthesize market, competitive, business and financial insights from multiple sourcesPrevious strategic planning, corporate development, investment banking, private equity, management consulting, or other relevant work experienceStrong communication (oral and written), problem-solving, excellent attention to detail and great organizational skillsProficient in PowerPoint, Excel and WordUS Citizen and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret ClearancePreferred Qualifications:
MBA or other, relevant graduate degrees. A technical degree coupled with relevant business education or relevant work experience will also be consideredExperience with Microelectronics (Either Commercial or Defense)Knowledge of DoD acquisition, requirements, and budget policies and processesStrong analytical, statistical, and critical thinking skills paired with the ability to visualize / communicate in a meaningful mannerStrong work ethic, ability to handle multiple priorities, and the ability to function with minimal guidanceAdvanced MS PowerPoint and Excel skillsActive Secret or higher clearance Salary Range: $170,000.00 - $255,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
