Function Description: As part of Technology team, we create planning, forecasting & reporting solutions for the
organization. Our core solutions are implemented on Planning Analytics, Cognos BI, OBIEE & Tableau. We offer solutions
to wide range of customers such as corporate planning, investment optimization, risk finance teams.
Purpose of the Role: Develop & maintain solutions on IBM Planning Analytics toolset – TM1
Business Outcomes:
Manage multiple financial processes spanning across multiple Business Units for Planning & Investment Management by leveraging IBM Cognos TM1 platform and capabilities
Independently handle customers and their expectations around multiple aspects including on-going support, enhancement, new solutions.
Lead and Support BAU functions like Month-end maintenance, environment prep and rollout activities
Training & Troubleshooting for both team members and business partners
In capacity of an expert with proven credentials over a period of time,
Take lead in E2E architecture, design, build and implementation of new financial processes / enrichment or customization of existing processes by offering optimum solutions leveraging IBM Cognos TM1 platform and capabilities.
End to end designing, building and implementation of cross functional projects of strategic importance.
Consistently improve current financial processes vide automation, enhanced controls etc by adopting best practices and new capabilities.
Lead and Contribute to the assessment and improvement of impact of all processes to the platform / server.
Consistently look for opportunities to drive value to customers by leveraging existing and new capabilities.
Proven ability to manage a team of professionals including engagement, career pathing, goals, development plans, performance conversations.

REQUIRED SKILL SETS
Project experience, in capacity of an expert, of designing, building, managing technology solutions for finance processes particularly IBM Cognos TM1 with emphasis on problem solving, data integrity and automation.
Strong experience of Agile framework and associated toolset like Rally, Confluence, Gira etc.
Strong understanding and experience of Amex Investment Optimization functions and processes.
Strong understanding of American Express business processes and financial systems
Exhibits ability to think short and long term to identify and manage processes and resources
Exhibits ability at problem solving and has an eye to identify opportunities
Strong People management skills including the ability to guide and motivate

Academics & Experience
