This leadership role is integral to delivering a high-quality, safe, and memorable guest experience year-round at Beaver Creek Mountain.

Starting Wage: $70,000 - $82,000 + annual bonus Employment Type: Year Round Shift Type: Full Time hours available Housing Availability: No Job Responsibilities:Manage nightly grooming operations, including equipment scheduling, winch cat coordination, and snow surface quality assurance, while overseeing on-mountain transportation for F&B staff and guests, as well as hauling of products, trash, compost,and recycling Oversee grooming across all trails, terrain parks, and SMARTE terrain, ensuring consistency with resort standards and safety protocols. Manage the design, construction, and maintenance of trails, terrain parks and Kid’s Adventure Zones in collaboration with Ski & Ride School and the terrain park team. Coordinate snow surface preparation and access for F&B operations and special events, ncluding Birds of Prey and on-mountain guest activations. Oversee summer construction projects and off-season maintenance, including trail work, erosion control, infrastructure upgrades, and terrain park/Kid’s Adventure Zone feature readiness. Hire, train, and supervise grooming, terrain park, and summer operations staff; manage scheduling and labor allocation based on priorities. Conduct regular safety meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations to ensure team effectiveness and risk mitigation. Prepare and manage budgets for grooming, terrain park, and summer operations; monitor material and cat up time and usage to efficiently and effectively utilize our snow cat fleet and other resources. Collaborate with departments including Vehicle Maintenance, Snowmaking, Lift Maintenance, Ski Patrol, Lift Experience, SRS, F&B, and BCRC to ensure smooth and aligned operations. Ensure compliance with all safety and operational standards, lead training efforts, and drive continual improvement across all areas year over year. Be a developer of talent, engage and performance manage all staff members to ensure alignment on Beaver Creek and company goals. Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in ski resort grooming, terrain park management, or construction operations, with 2+ years in a leadership role. Extensive knowledge of grooming practices, snowcat operations (including winch cats),and terrain park design/build principles. Experience in summer construction, earthmoving, and maintenance of fabricated park features. Strong project management, organizational, and team leadership skills. Familiarity with GPS-based mapping systems, AutoCAD or similar tools is a plus. Ability to work long hours in challenging mountain conditions year-round. Valid driver’s license; heavy equipment certifications and CDL are a plus. Work Environment: Requires night shifts in winter and daytime outdoor work in summer, often in extreme conditions. Night shifts and split schedules may be required. Physically demanding, including equipment operation, lifting, and navigating uneven terrain. Year-round, full-time leadership position with varied seasonal duties.
The expected pay range is $70,000 - $82,000 + annual bonus. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
