Manager- Small Business Credit Strategy

Job Description

What is the opportunity?

As a Manager, Small Business Credit Strategy, you are primarily responsible for monitoring, preserving and improving the overall quality of the small business portfolio. The role reports to Senior Manager, Small Business Credit Strategy and is required to use advanced analytics to optimize strategies that balance business growth with risk appetite, and develop credit strategies that govern Small Business lending products.

What will you do?

Design credit strategies covering Small Business products, including targeting criteria, adjudication and exposure management, ensuring adequacy of risk and return through comprehensive data analysis and predictive financial and credit modeling.Support new strategy development with advanced analytics and data science.Collaborate with teams across the bank (Risk Management, Product teams, Tech and Collections) to identify credit risks and financial opportunitiesPresent the outcomes and recommendations of your work to a wide array of senior stakeholders and drive the approval and implementation of credit strategiesDevelop and manage performance monitoring and reporting for relevant strategies and customer segments, in order to enable actionable insight for key stakeholders.Partner with implementation teams to operationalize strategy solutions.

What do you need to succeed?
 

Must-have:

2+ years of experience performing advanced analytics or data science, ideally for credit lending or deposit productsProficient technical knowledge of data querying tools such as SQL, Python, etc.Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills

Nice-to-have:

Strong analytical and problem solving skillsBroad understanding of risk management, credit strategy, and analyticsMBA and/or Undergraduate degree in Economics, Business, Engineering, Statistics or other quantitative field of study
