This Manager position will be located in the US as part of the Enterprise Risk Management & Risk Oversight team (ERM&RO).The Manager will join the Committee Governance & Policy Management (CGPM) team within ERM&RO. CGPM orchestrates Enterprise Risk and Operational Risk Management Committee meetings (ERMC and ORMC) and partners closely with General Counsel’s Organization to organize board risk committee meetings. CGPM also owns and oversees the governance of American Express’s policies and management committees and is responsible for the lifecycle of US management policies. Additionally, the team supports novel risk-related projects at the discretion of the Head of ERM&RO. In all aspects of its work, the CGPM works with leaders across the company and their teams.The Manager will play a critical role in communications and materials related to the ERMC and board risk committees, including communications for Amex’s Chief Risk Officer, as well as supporting ERM&RO initiatives. The Manager will also play a key role in maintaining CGPM’s enterprise policy, team procedures, and other critical documentation. Through their work, the Manager will gain insight into key developments and risks across the company.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk, compliance, legal, or regulatory roles Strong communication skills a must, particularly written communication Discretion when exposed to restricted/secret company information Self-starter who works well independently in white space Able to effectively manage multiple and often conflicting priorities under tight timeframes and adapt to frequent change Able to lead without authority derived from band level Highly organized with attention to detail, sense of follow-through, and accountability Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus
Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
