Manager - Revenue Recognition Accounting

As the Manager - Revenue Recognition Accounting, you will oversee various aspects of revenue accounting, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies. You will be involved in the development and implementation of new systems and implementing best practices across the organization. You will lead and direct accounting professionals and serve as a transformational leader ensuring that the organization is following best in class digital solutions.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Oversee the end-to-end revenue recognition process in compliance with ASC 606, ensuring accurate accounting and reporting of revenue.
+ Analyze complex customer contracts and scenarios to determine appropriate revenue recognition.
+ Collaborate with Sales, Legal and other cross-functional teams to establish customer contracts that align with revenue recognition policies and business objectives.
+ Monitor contract asset/liability balances, ensuring proper cut-off and recognition across reporting periods.
+ Evaluate revenue recognition for newly acquired businesses.
+ Maintain internal controls over revenue processes to ensure SOX compliance and audit readiness.
+ Provide technical accounting guidance and training to cross-functional teams on revenue-related matters.
+ Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline revenue processes and enhance automation.
+ Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors for revenue-related inquiries and documentation.
+ Assist in other technical accounting matters as they arise.
+ Ensure compliance with company corporate policies and procedures.
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelors Degree – Accounting or related field required; Masters Degree preferred
+ Licenses/Certificates/Designations - CPA required; CIMA/ACA/ACCA/ICAEW preferred
+ 7 years of progressive public accounting or public entity experience
+ 2 years leading professionals in a team-based and performance-oriented environment
+ Detailed knowledge of US GAAP accounting standards (including thorough understanding of ASC 606), financial statements, internal controls and SOX requirements
+ Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to communicate accounting topics clearly and concisely to finance and non-finance colleagues
+ Proficient Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
+ Ability to work under tight time schedules and to manage multiple tasks
+ Able to adapt to new responsibilities with an agile mindset
+ Strong general business and project management skills
+ Knowledge of artificial intelligence concepts and tools, including practical experience applying AI technologies to enhance business processes and drive automation
+ Big 4 public accounting experience preferred
+ In-depth experience using one or more large, integrated financial management/accounting systems, such as Oracle, SAP, or JD Edwards is preferred.
+ Advanced knowledge of accounting processes and techniques preferred
+ Ability to travel 0% - 25%
