As the Respiratory Therapy Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind a department dedicated to delivering the highest quality of care. Working hand-in-hand with the Medical Director and a talented respiratory care team, you’ll inspire excellence, foster growth, and shape the future of patient care across all age groups — from newborns to geriatric patients.

+ Lead with impact:Oversee daily operations of the Respiratory Care Services Department, ensuring care is safe, effective, and patient-centered.
+ Champion quality:Develop and implement quality assurance programs, meeting and exceeding regulatory and accreditation standards.
+ Grow your team:Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate staff, creating a supportive environment where employees can thrive.
+ Drive performance:Develop budgets, manage resources, and monitor departmental performance to meet strategic and financial goals.
+ Collaborate widely:Partner with physicians, hospital leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to align care strategies and outcomes.
+ Stay hands-on:Step in as needed to provide technical support and keep schedules running smoothly.
+ Educate & inspire:Lead departmental meetings, in-services, and staff development initiatives to enhance clinical expertise.
+ Represent & influence:Serve on hospital and corporate committees, ensuring respiratory therapy has a strong voice at the table.
+ Engage with patients & families:Provide guidance and support in care planning, therapy discussions, and discharge needs.
+ Promote innovation:Bring fresh ideas to improve patient outcomes, optimize workflows, and enhance the patient experience.
Who You Are
+ A licensedRegistered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)with proven clinical expertise across the full patient lifespan (neonates through geriatrics).
+ An experienced leader with 3–5 years of progressive responsibility in respiratory therapy, including supervisory or management experience.
+ Skilled in budgeting, resource management, and quality improvement.
+ A strong communicator who thrives on collaboration and knows how to motivate and guide a team.
+ Committed to continuous learning and professional development.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
+ Must hold at least an Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Allied Health, Health Administration, Public Health, Business or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
+ Three to four (3-4) years of progressively more responsible experience in respiratory therapy and supervision.
CERTFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
+ Registration as a Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
+ Must meet or exceed core customer service responsibilities, standards and behaviors as outlined in the HFHS’ Customer Service Policy
+ Must practice the customer skills as provided through on-going training and in-services.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
+ Normal office environment with minimal exposure to noise, dust, or extreme temperatures.
