Lead the Way to Excellence: Under the general direction of the System Director, Access & Business Development, the Referral Center Manager oversees, manages and analyzes all referral activities within the MPN referral team, including oversight of all referral coordinator pod processes (including the centralized pod) problem resolution, tracking of referral metrics, and Referral Coordinator and Referral Lead supervision. The Referral Center Manager works closely with internal and external customers to achieve MPN and organizational referral goals. What We’re Looking For:Bachelor’s Degree in Health Services Administration, Business, or other related field preferred; In lieu of Bachelor’s Degree, the candidate must have a minimum of four or more years of progressively more responsible work experience and leadership in a health care setting, in an ambulatory, medical office, or outpatient environment.3 years’ supervisory experience preferred, directly managing people. Your Responsibilities Include: Oversees the work of and provides hands-on supervision of Referral Coordinators and Referrals Leads to manage both incoming and outgoing referrals, as well as required prior authorizations, external and internal referral transcription, and closed-loop communication, both to and from MHC and non-MHC practices.Directs all departmental activities including scheduling, staffing and daily operations as well as administrative duties such as problem resolution and quality assurance monitoring. Throughout the referral coordination process, monitors the status of referrals, and facilitates ongoing process improvement to ensure referrals are processed in a timely manner, according to all MPN referral policies and procedures.Responsible for the hiring, training, on-going supervision and evaluation of all referral coordinator staff. Coordinates and ensures the comprehensive orientation of new referral team members and assesses competency.Coordinates work schedules, coverage plans and assignments for all referral coordinators and referral pods, including the centralized pod.Provides clear directions, consistent and timely feedback to referral coordinators. Promotes teamwork in daily activities, exercises diplomacy and fairness and consistently uses effective communication skills, acting as a role model to team members.Communicates with clinic staff, internal providers, patients, and external providers and staff regarding referral needs/concerns. Handles follow-up and other necessary issues related to referral management. Throughout the referral coordination process, ensures that all involved parties are aware of the referral status.
