Manager Radiation Oncology
UPMC Cancer Center at the Divine Providence campus in Williamsport, PA, is seeking an on-site Radiation Oncology Manager. This full-time position involves managing clinical operations, quality management, regulatory affairs, continuing education, and fiscal responsibilities. The role is Monday to Friday, day shift hours, with no weekend or holiday requirements. The Manager will lead efforts to improve patient safety and participate in initiatives to reduce errors and enhance processes. **Responsibilities:** + Continuing Education Program Management + Assess learning needs using surveys, QA results, and input from Radiation Oncologists. + Implement and coordinate training programs. + Seek approval for Continuing Education Credits and maintain CE records.Regulatory Affairs Management + Coordinate regulatory compliance activities and maintain readiness for inspections. + Act as a liaison to Radiation Safety Officer, medical physicists, and medical director. + Coordinate safety compliance and equipment maintenance. + Liaise with the Compliance Department and report on compliance activities.Clinical Operations Management + Coordinate operations of the Radiation Oncology Department. + Monitor statistics to identify trends and changes. + Lead and oversee staff, ensuring adequate coverage and patient safety. + Develop and administer policies for standardized quality care. + Manage HR activities including recruitment, performance reviews, and employee orientation. + Ensure fair management and high-quality work.Financial Oversight + Balance departmental expenses against budget. + Set goals and inspect results consistently. + Collaborate with senior leadership and other departments. + Communicate effectively with all stakeholders.Quality Assurance/CQI Program Management + Prioritize patient safety and oversee QA programs. + Conduct CQI meetings, set improvement goals, and measure results. + Collaborate with medical staff to maintain high service standards.Fiscal Responsibilities + Oversee site budget and financial performance. + Implement changes to increase efficiency and control expenses. + Maintain budgeted levels for FTEs and expenses. + Oversee billing, revenue capture, and new projects. + Education + Master's Degree and Radiation Therapy experience preferred. + Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years of progressive management experience required. + OR an Associate's Degree with 5-7 years of progressive management experience required. + Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: + ARRT Registration in good standing or Board Eligibility within six months of hire preferred. + CPR certification required based on AHA standards, including both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire. + Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). + UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran.
