Manager Project Accounting
**Job Overview:** The Manager Project Accounting role requires an in-depth understanding of Project Accounting concepts, theories, and principles and basic knowledge of other related disciplines. The Manager Project Accounting must be able to apply an understanding of the industry to improve effectiveness, provide guidance, and influence processes and policies for the Project Accounting discipline, as well as identify and resolve technical, operational, and organizational problems that impact effectiveness. The Manager Project Accounting impacts the level of service and the Project Accounting team’s ability to meet quality and timeliness objectives. Policies, resource requirements, budgets, and the business plan should guide the Manager Project Accounting decisions. **Key Tasks and Responsibilities:** + Responsible for execution of assigned R2R activities, including budgeting, forecasting, standards development, monthly reporting, variance/trend analysis, and cash forecasts + Prepare planning and utilization reports to facilitate decision-making and ensure activities and reports are completed as per the FP&A calendar timelines + Ensure all assigned activities are completed within the agreed time and of the highest quality and ensure that team metrics/KPIs are met + Support various internal and external audits relating to assigned activities + Provide timely and effectively communicated responses to internal and external inquiries + Provide accurate and effective document preparation and records management relative to the assigned activities per records retention policies and procedures + Provide mentorship, coaching, and training + Interface effectively with clients, business associates, peers, and subordinates + Own and lead the implementation, enforcement, and verification of compliance with all McDermott policies and procedures + Ensure employees understand their responsibility and authority to effectively implement the requirements of all McDermott policies and procedures + Ensure the timely completion of all mandatory training by themselves and their teams **Essential Qualifications and Education:** + 10+ years of experience, ideally in the oil and gas, EPCI, or construction industry + Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting required and relevant certification, such as Chartered Accountant, ACCA, CPA, etc.) + Practical and flexible attitude with independent judgment + Must be detail-oriented, a team player, and able to effectively work to strict deadlines + Must be computer literate with working knowledge of finance and accounting system + Ability to work in a multi-office, multi-cultural, multi-regulatory project execution environment + Good verbal and written communication skills required + Good social skills and ability to handle conflict situations \#LI-EB2 \#LI-DNI Our ingenuity fuels daily life.
