The position encompasses coordination of total nursing care for patients, active participation in patient and family teaching, and the provision of leadership by collaborating with ancillary departments and other patient care personnel to uphold professional nursing practice standards in the clinical setting. Responsibilities also include overseeing staffing, training, serving as a liaison with physicians, hospital personnel, and departments, and reporting to the designated director. The role is crucial for establishing and leading Performance Improvement Initiatives, conducting chart reviews, and audits to ensure the highest standards of care and compliance.
