PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE OPERATIONS MANAGER – ACEROS FORTUNA
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in the distribution facilities.Oversee safety practices to guarantee a safe working environment for all employees.Safety is a core pillar of our operations; you will be responsible for promoting a culture of safety and ensuring that all safety standards are adhered to across all centers.Oversee and manage the daily logistics and distribution activities across all seven centers. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and products to customers.Work closely with purchasing to manage stock replenishment and maintain a smooth flow of goods from inbound to outbound logistics.Ensure efficient coordination of transportation, warehouse operations, and order fulfillment to minimize lead times and reduce costs.Monitor and improve supply chain efficiency, ensuring materials are available to meet production schedules while minimizing excess inventory and associated costs.Work with internal teams to ensure timely procurement, on-time deliveries, and effective inventory control systems.Manage and enforce quality standards across distribution operations.Responsible for maintaining and improving the quality management system (QMS) to ensure that all products meet regulatory and customer requirements.Oversee the maintenance of equipment and facilities across the distribution centers to prevent operational downtime.Ensure all equipment is running efficiently and safely and manage repair or replacement schedules as necessary.Continuously assess and improve operational workflows and logistics processes to drive efficiencies.Implement cost-saving strategies without compromising service levels, ensuring that all processes are streamlined, effective, and scalable.Lead, train, and develop a high-performing team across the distribution centers, ensuring continuous improvement in productivity and operational excellence.Fosters a culture of accountability and high performance, with a focus on safety and compliance in all aspects of the operations.Regular travel between the seven distribution and manufacturing centers to ensure operational consistency and address on-site challenges.All other duties as assigned.REQUIRED FOR THE OPERATIONS MANAGER – ACEROS FORTUNA
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.Certifications in logistics, supply chain management, quality control, or safety management are a plus.At least 5 years of experience in distribution operations, logistics, or supply chain management, with a strong focus on managing multiple distribution centers.Previous experience in managing small manufacturing processes such as assembly, packaging, or light machining is highly preferred.Proven experience leading teams and managing complex distribution operations, with an ability to drive performance and motivate employees to achieve excellence.Strong background in operations, manufacturing, logistics, distribution operations, inventory management, and supply chain optimization.An ability to manage the flow of goods and materials across multiple sites while ensuring cost efficiency and timely deliveries.Exceptional problem-solving abilities to identify operational inefficiencies and implement data-driven solutions to improve service and reduce costs.Able to Manage a high-pressure, fast-paced environment, with the flexibility to adapt quickly to changing business needs and customer demands.Focus on operational accuracy, quality control, and regulatory compliance, with the ability to spot potential issues early and resolve them proactively.Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.
