Manager of Software Engineering - Wholesale Credit Risk Technology Analytics

As a Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Wholesale Credit Risk Technology Analytics Team, you lead a team and manage day-to-day implementation activities by identifying and escalating issues and ensuring your team’s work adheres to compliance standards, business requirements, and tactical best practices.

Job responsibilities

Provide guidance to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activitiesSet the overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaborationAnticipate dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirementsManage stakeholder relationships and the team’s work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirementsCreate a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect for the team members and prioritizes diverse representationContribute to the build of components and features

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience. In addition, demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience 5+ years of hands on expertise developing in Java and PythonHands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityPractical cloud native experience (AWS)Proficient in automation and continuous delivery methodsProficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life CycleAdvanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency and Security Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
