Manager, Software Engineering
As a Manager, Software Engineering with a focus on Data Engineering and Data Science, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and growing our Authentication Program. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our data is of the highest quality and that our teams can work effectively. You will be leading a team of talented engineers, driving innovation, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-impact projects.
Responsibilities
•\tLead the development and implementation of scalable data engineering and data science solutions to support the Authentication Program.
•\tEnsure the quality, accuracy, and reliability of data across all systems and processes.
•\tMentor and provide technical guidance to a team of engineers and data scientists.
•\tDrive strategic decisions and deliver innovative solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
•\tCollaborate with product stakeholders to prioritize initiatives and align with business goals.
•\tDevelop and maintain data pipelines, ensuring data is processed efficiently and accurately.
•\tImplement and promote best practices in data engineering, data science, and software development.
•\tAutomate and streamline data processing workflows and development processes.
•\tConduct Proof of Concepts (POCs) to evaluate and introduce new technologies.
•\tParticipate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to team prioritization and planning.
•\tDevelop and present roadmaps and proposals to Senior Management and stakeholders.
•\tFoster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence within the team.
Qualifications
Technical Expertise
•\tExperience in Data Engineering, Data Science, or related fields.
•\tProficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
•\tHands-on experience with data processing frameworks.
•\tExperience with data warehousing solutions.
•\tSolid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data pipeline orchestration.
•\tFamiliarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries.
•\tKnowledge of secure coding practices and data privacy regulations.
Leadership and Communication
•\tProven experience in leading and managing technical teams.
•\tStrong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
•\tExcellent written and verbal communication skills.
•\tAbility to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
•\tExperience in Agile methodologies and project management.
Preferred Qualifications
•\tDegree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
•\tExperience with streaming data platforms.
•\tFamiliarity with data visualization tools.
•\tExperience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
