Job Summary

The Manager Safety Programs delivers on our Purpose by providing Leadership and assisting with the strategic development of the Safety Program Teams, while also serving as an occupational Safety subject matter expert for the Company. This role responds to OSHA investigations and oversees OSHA reporting and recordkeeping. The Manager Safety Programs is a detail orientated thinker who is ready to provide Leadership and drive their own career with Heart.

ResponsibilitiesServe as subject matter expert on Occupational Safety and Health Administration issues and programsDirect the workflow of the Safety Programs Team and Field Services Team and provide opportunity for developing bench and/or Leadership strength on the TeamProvide oversight for the development and implementation of Company Safety Programs and projectsFoster positive relationships and serve as a liaison between the Company and governmental agencies, as well as representing the Company within industry workgroupsMay perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders

Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge of business and management principlesKnowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rulesKnowledge of OSHA RegulationsSkilled in verbal and written communicationSkilled in presenting to groups of various sizesSkilled in motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.Ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understandEducationRequired: High School Diploma or GED

ExperienceDemonstrated experience in directly or indirectly leading team(s)Fully functioning, broad knowledge in:Occupational SafetyAviationPreferred previous experience communicating (presenting, attending leadership meetings, etc.) with Senior Leadership, union representatives, and training classesPreferred candidates who are comfortable with traveling 10% - 15% to visit direct reports in their designated marketsPreferred experience streamlining processes and driving toward business standardizationIdeal candidates will have a passion for Safety

Licensing/CertificationRequired: OSHA 10 or 30 hours of certification or equivalent hours, knowledge, or experience

Physical AbilitiesAbility to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of timeAbility to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the jobAbility to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job

Pay & Benefits:

Competitive market salary from $120,200 per year to $135,800 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
