Manager of Research and Insights, Product Experience

As a key member of the Product Experience organization, you will lead the Research & Insights team, guiding the strategy for how research informs both product experience and broader business decisions at Cardinal Health. You will empower the team to conduct impactful research that drives business value, build a knowledge-driven culture, and ensure insights improve not only product design and development but also overall business strategy. Your leadership will be key to growing our research capabilities, streamlining processes, and improving partnerships to create user-centered experiences that contribute directly to Cardinal Health's and our customers' success. It’s a landscape ripe for thoughtful design and deep collaboration across many disciplines to create the next generation of products and services. **Responsibilities:** + Lead and manage a team of user researchers, experience strategists, service designers, and usability specialists. + Create and maintain a supportive environment and strong team culture grounded in transparency, diversity of thought, autonomy, and psychological safety. + Support your team’s performance and professional growth through mentorship, clear expectations, measurable goals, actionable feedback, stretch opportunities, and skills development. + Recruit, integrate, and retain the best talent to add value to our team, contribute to our goals, and make each of us a little better. + Oversee the maturity of research operations, including evolving research processes, recruitment, and toolkits to ensure efficient practices and high-quality, actionable insights. + Uphold the continuous improvement of research methodologies/approaches so Product Experience remains at the forefront of industry best practices. + Educate, demonstrate, and promote research methodologies, best practices, and resulting business value through workshops, training sessions, and other forms of engagement. + Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, peer leaders, and internal clients to foster trust, drive collaboration, manage expectations, and increase demand. + Actively seek out new research opportunities through networking across different business units, understanding their needs, and identifying areas where research could add value. + Oversee the creation of project proposals, ensuring they are accurate, well-written, contain appropriate methodologies for the objectives, and feasible given available resources and timelines. + Partnering with the Design Program Manager, develop and maintain an accurate pipeline forecast, anticipating future research needs and ensuring all research projects are adequately staffed and supported. + Track and report on project progress, resource utilization, and other key metrics to ensure the research team is operating efficiently and delivering quality. + Quantify and communicate the return on investment (ROI) of research activities and insights at project, business, and organizational levels. + Establish, implement, and evolve a knowledge repository strategy of research findings, reports, and other relevant documentation to build upon existing insights and "connect the dots" across Cardinal Health. **Qualifications** **_:_** + 7-10 years’ experience conducting research to inform digital and non-digital strategies/products/services utilizing a human-centered approach preferred. + 4+ years’ directly leading UX/user research professionals with a proven track record of hiring, managing, and retaining top talent. + Experience leading, advocating for, and researching within a modern product/service design lifecycle. + Demonstrable, repeatable work in the discipline, including some combination of generative research, service blueprinting, workshop facilitation, usability testing, heuristic evaluation. + Experience working cross-functionally with multiple teams/disciplines including product management, marketing, sales, and engineering. + Demonstrated effectiveness managing multiple stakeholders and working across organizational boundaries to define, manage, and prioritize work aligned with leadership expectations. + Significant understanding of UX best practices and how research contributes to a complex, multi-faceted organization. + Experience defining and measuring goals and strategies at an individual and team level in service of professional growth, work efficiency, and practice maturity. + Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills. + Some travel expected. + BS/MS degree in human factors, design, psychology, sociology, or relevant experience preferred. + 3+ years in healthcare for relevant segments a plus — e.g. consumer, pharmacy, medical, health plans, logistics, etc. **Anticipated salary range:** $103,500 - $155,295 **Bonus eligible:** Yes **Benefits:** Cardinal Health offers a wide variety of benefits and programs to support health and well-being. + Medical, dental and vision coverage + Paid time off plan + Health savings account (HSA) + 401k savings plan + Access to wages before pay day with myFlexPay + Flexible spending accounts (FSAs) + Short- and long-term disability coverage + Work-Life resources + Paid parental leave + Healthy lifestyle programs **Application window anticipated to close:** 10/12/2025 *if interested in opportunity, please submit application as soon as possible.
