You bring your A-game as you manage, promote, evaluate and direct the day-to-day outpatient clinic operations and focus on total patient care in collaboration with physicians, sub-specialists, nurses, and ancillary services. Responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the effectiveness of protocols and quality improvement, you’re a key resource and liaison for your clinic to all departments within the LCMC Health system.

Your Everyday
Collaborate with the Director of Clinical Operations in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating clinical care.
Accountable for clinical practice and serve as a clinical resource by coordinating care issues with the appropriate department director or supervisor of support services.
Assess high risk patient care, review the plan of care for each patient to ensure follow up orders are initiated and completed, and assist in problem-solving related to the care.
Consult with RN navigators, specialists, and referring physicians to ensure continuity in care.
Work closely with patients and families to identify opportunities for education and post care support.
Utilize critical thinking skills in management of patient care and employee performance issues.
Conduct performance evaluations and competency assessments in a timely manner and handle disciplinary issues
Schedule and assign staff to meet the needs of the clinic or unit and reconcile timecard accuracy and employees' time record.
Participate in recruitment, hiring and orientation of new staff.
Provide leadership, activity planning, coordination and day-to-day direction to assure quality care for the patients in the clinic.
Initiate morning huddles that include the physicians to plan the day and collaborate with staff in the development and implementation of standards of care for patients and clinic.
Identify progress toward desired care outcomes and coordinate multi-disciplinary team interventions to move towards outcomes.
Implement the strategic plan through reengineering and redesigning of business processes and systems, including staffing, and accurate billing to increase revenues and reduce costs.
Monitor, evaluate and control appropriate utilization of budgeted FTE's, operational expenses, budget and cost-effective utilization of resources.
Forecast and review expenses and the capital budget and identify processes and systems to increase revenue and reduce costs.
The Must-Haves
Minimum:
Current nursing license to practice in Louisiana as defined by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.
Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
5 years of supervisory nursing experience
