The Opportunity: Contribute To the Growth of Your Career:

As the Manager of Outbound Transportation, you will play a significant role in TJX’s Logistics Supply Chain team. You will lead MarMaxx (TJMaxx and Marshalls) transportation operations for the East Coast 3PL buildings in New Jersey. You and your team will also be accountable for all transportation cross dock activities outbound from the four 3PL buildings New Jersey, also partnering internally with Distribution Center operations to ensure successful partnerships with logistics. This includes developing and maintaining a financial budget, crafting load forecasts, execution and strategically optimizing your network to maintain the efficient balance of cost management and performance metrics. This position will be based in New Jersey onsite 5 days a week.

What You Will Do:Lead transportation operations for processed goods shipped out of MarMaxx 3PL Processing locations in New Jersey (4 Buildings, 1 Transportation Supervisor direct report and a Coordinator direct report) to 33 ship points across the United States and Puerto RicoOwn financial accountability and strategic oversight for delivering efficient performance against established critical metric standards and effective cost managementLead, coach, and mentor direct reports to develop them for future growth, while also encouraging a culture where inclusion and diversity drive innovationBuild effective relationships with key partners, founded on open communication and hardworking collaboration, to ensure overall execution of service and standards that result in increased TJX profitabilityIdentify and lead pivotal initiatives to optimize and continuously improve service and reduce costsDrive peak season strategies and execution to support the exciting needs of the business, including contingency plans, as production plans fluctuateMaintain and continuously improve SOPs and standard methodologies, using technology to streamline processes, reduce manual workloadEmpower decision making and risk taking by setting clear expectations for your team, your peers, and your partnersSupport regional expansion and special projectsIn this role you will travel between your buildings on a regular basis, in addition to home office visits, Service Center visits and store visits as required

Who We Are Looking For: You.

7 Year's validated experience in supply chain management role (operations / transportation)4+ years leadership experience with demonstrated management and development skillsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceStrong understanding of transportation operations and the overall supply chainExperience with Transportation Management Systems and Yard Management SystemsPrior experience creating, maintaining, and completing a fiscal budget and strong cost leadership skillsHighly analytical approach to problem solving, leveraging expert Microsoft Suite proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with a high curiosity for manipulating and making inferences from dataExperience applying metrics and data to drive decision making, with a process improvement & efficiency focusA self-director who can work independently, lead their own timelines, and set prioritiesAbility to influence others without authority and be responsible for leading the business with vision and strategyExcellent communicator with the ability to form relationships and be an extraordinary partnerFlexible and adaptable to frequently changing priorities based on business demands, the ability to change direction quickly is essentialAbility to develop new tools and processes to support TJX global supply chain goals and objectivesAbility to travel as needed

This position has a starting salary range of $113,600 to $147,700 per year. Actual starting pay is determined by several factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual incentive as well as long-term incentives.
