Job Summary
You are the Nursing Development Manager. Create, organize, assess education. Keep current with trends. Improve patient, employee, and organization success.
Essential Functions of the Role
You will help prepare Education Budget and manage resources to meet fiscal targets.You will help evaluate onboarding, learning programs, education, integration for nursing and designated disciplines hospital-wide.You will create a nurturing work environment that supports nursing education, professional growth, research, and scholarly pursuits.You will help both Generalists and Specialists grow professionally, plan for future talent, and recruit new team members.You oversee department compliance with regulations and update clinical skills to support professional development.You'll simplify staff learning by giving clear guidance and resources for patients and families. This includes discharge instructions and educational materials for diabetes, oncology, and heart failure.You will work with Nurse Heads to create a staff skills method that follows all rules and regulations.You will coordinate the rotation schedules for undergraduate and graduate nursing students.Key Success Factors
Familiarity with the professional regulatory scope and standards associated with registered nursing as well as professional development specialists.Knowledge of laws, regulations, standards, certification, and accreditation is important for nursing care in hospitals. Understanding hospital guidelines and procedures is vital for providing quality care in your area.Proficiency in management and team building skills. This extends to abilities in behavioral interviewing, effective team dynamics and excellent communication.Understand the metrics for quality in your area and how to improve them with adult learning and efficiency assessments.Capability to use both summative and formative evaluation to drive change at varying levels, whether personal, service line, or department.The capacity to teach, mentor, and guide others in planning and developing programs.Skill in making operational conclusions, including setting quality and productivity standards, establishing measurable goals, and organizing project teams.Capacity to make or endorse hiring and termination recommendations.Ability to suggest changes to policies and establish procedures that benefit the managed organization.General computer skills include using MS Office, following security standards, using scheduling and payroll systems, medical documentation, and email.Belonging Statement

Qualifications
Master's degreeHave a minimum of (5) five years of relevant work experienceHold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or be able to obtain it within (30) thirty days of hire or transfer.
