Oversees and leads the football team in all creative media initiatives to include graphic design and photography as they relate to football recruiting. Works autonomously to ensure projects are completed on time and identifies new projects to further Air Force football recruiting efforts. Assists equipment and licensing with occasional design projects. Responsible for all football recruiting creative efforts to include planning, creation, and distribution to appropriate parties. Serves as the principal football recruiting creative for projects from conception through production; research, strategizes, conceptualizes, proposes, and designs creative projects for electronic, print, web, and interactive media. Oversee a football recruiting creative team comprised of cadet-managers to include but not limited to recruitment, training, and mentoring. Shoot photo of home and away games, practice sessions, locker room interviews, player and community outreach features, and other projects as needed. Maintains strong understanding of industry trends and adjusts accordingly with Air Force branding standards. Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with professional organizations, administrators, coaches, and staff. Understands and adheres to a variety of department and Academy brand standards, NCAA and MWC compliance policies. Reports directly to the Director of Football Recruiting. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Experience working in college or professional athletics is highly desired. Demonstrated professional experience with the Adobe Creative Suite is required. Strong skills in graphic design are required. Strong planning and organizational skills. Experience shooting video and familiarity with Whistle Communication for Recruiting desired. Demonstrated passion for football and understanding of the game. Ability to deliver quality work in a fast-paced, high volume environment. Ability to work an irregular schedule including, evenings, weekends, holidays and travel as required by the team’s schedule. Successful experience in creating and implementing digital communications in support of recruiting efforts in collegiate athletics is preferred.
