**Manager, Environmental Health & Safety**
We are seeking a proactive and experienced **Manager, Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S)** to lead the development and execution of safety and health programs across our retail stores. This role is responsible for overseeing a team of EH&S Specialists, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, driving a culture of safety, and serving as the primary liaison with OSHA during inspections and investigations.
The ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader with strong regulatory knowledge, experience managing high-performing teams, and the ability to work cross-functionally with Store Operations and other internal stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Lead and manage a team of EH&S Specialists to support retail store safety initiatives.
+ Evaluate store environments for compliance with federal, state, and industry-specific safety and environmental regulations.
+ Develop and maintain safety policies, procedures, and training materials tailored to retail operations.
+ Serve as the Company’s primary contact for OSHA inspections, investigations, and communications.
+ Monitor OSHA enforcement trends and provide subject matter expertise on occupational health and safety.
+ Oversee responses to OSHA citations and inspections.
+ Track and analyze safety performance metrics (KPIs) and provide regular updates to senior leadership.
+ Identify emerging compliance risks and partner with Store Operations to proactively address them.
+ Provide support and guidance on store-level EH&S inquiries.
+ Promote a culture of safety across all store locations through programs, initiatives, and communications.
+ Partner with Operations on training and audit activities to enhance safety compliance.
+ Support the development and implementation of a comprehensive incident investigation process.
+ Leverage field resources to reinforce a safety-first culture and consistent communication across regions.
+ Contribute to special projects that enhance EH&S performance and support company goals.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ 3+ years of experience in Environmental Health & Safety, Ethics & Compliance, or Retail Operations.
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and 7+ years of relevant experience.
+ Proven ability to manage regulatory programs and oversee team performance.
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels.
+ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; capable of innovating and prioritizing in a fast-paced environment.
+ Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
+ Willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel up to 20%.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry EH&S best practices.
+ OSHA 30 Certification.
+ Professional certifications such as GSP, ASP, CSP, and/or ARM.
