Come grow with us! **PURPOSE:** The vision for the Sylvamo Capital Effectiveness Team is to identify and engage Team Members from across the Globe to develop a high performance and agile work Team to support our Primary Mills and Facilities to be best in class for the development and deployment of capital investments. We are seeking a **Manager of Capital Projects** to leverage their talents and skills gained thorough years of experience to support our Corporate and Facility Teams. **WHAT YOU WILL DO:** The Manager of Capital Projects will span across all areas and include the following activities: + Provide Safety and Environmental Leadership for Capital Teams. + Ensure that capital projects are properly staffed. + Manage overall engineering alliances and partnerships that are used by the Primary Mills. + Business Capital Portfolio Management. + Provide development and training capital project management resources globally. + Ensure that Corporate Financial Policy Manual (FPM) and Capital. Investment Manual (CIM) are adhered to during the review of capital investments. + Review Capital Request routings for approval based on content, quality, and budgets. + Track Business Capital Project Metrics and improvement plans. + Support discretionary (CR and ST) capital project development at Primary Mills. + Lead benchmarking and data collection for completed projects. + Lead Project Delivery Process (PDP) training. + Lead Capital GMS through working with the Mill / Facility Teams. + Provide leadership and training for Value Improving Processes (VIP’s). **WHAT YOU WILL NEED:** **Qualifications:** + BS Degree in engineering discipline. + Minimum 12 years’ experience in capital project management. + Demonstrated excellence in leadership management and facility planning. + Good communication skills, both verbal and written to constructively interact with Corporate, mill teams, project teams, and management. + Demonstrated ability to get results through influencing. + Experience using process improvement methodologies and/or change management processes. + Demonstrated extensive knowledge of the Project Delivery Process and associated best practices. **Preferred Qualifications:** + 15 years engineering experience in Pulp and Paper industry. + Proficiency with SAP, Word, Excel, Microsoft Project. + Proficient with project management requirements for specifications, estimating, purchasing requirements, budget control and forecasting spending. **It Would Be a Plus If You Also Possess Previous Experience In:** + Multi-disciplined, ability to wear multiple hats but able to go deep when needed. + Ability to Influence without authority. + Integrated uncoated freesheet experience. + International experience and cultural agility. + Willingness to travel and work flexible hours across time zones + Located near a Sylvamo facility would be a plus. + Prio experience working directly with the Sylvamo sites. + Self-starter able to gain trust of global mills quickly. **COMPETENCIES** + Agile + Customer Focused + Business Savvy + Development minded + Succeed Together + Humble + Inclusive and Collaborative + Operationally Excellent Sylvamo partners with you and your family on your health and wellness journey.
