Description We are looking for an experienced Manager of Benefits to oversee and enhance the administration of employee benefits and payroll processes. This role is essential in ensuring compliance, accuracy, and satisfaction in all aspects of benefits management and compensation. Located in Floyds Knobs, Indiana, this position offers an opportunity to contribute to the strategic goals of the organization while maintaining high standards of confidentiality.
Responsibilities:
• Manage executive payroll processes, provide backup support for the Payroll Manager, and oversee the preparation and filing of year-end W2 statements.
• Develop, administer, and communicate health insurance, wellness programs, COBRA, and disability plans for a workforce of over 150 employees, including the filing of annual 1095-C forms.
• Administer and maintain the 401(k) retirement plan, ensuring compliance with laws, accurate record-keeping, and successful completion of annual audits.
• Monitor and evaluate benefit plans to align with organizational objectives related to cost, quality, and employee satisfaction.
• Manage payroll and benefits records, ensuring timely payment of vendor bills, withholding taxes, and preparation of related reports across multiple entities.
• Assist with annual audits, including Workman’s Compensation, Census Bureau, and Unclaimed Cash audits, while addressing any special audit requirements.
• Act as the primary liaison between external vendors and company employees, facilitating smooth communication and issue resolution.
• Perform general accounting duties, such as balance sheet reconciliations, ad hoc reporting, and other tasks as assigned.
• Administer and maintain the accuracy of cash account balances to support organizational financial operations. Requirements • Minimum of five years of experience in benefits administration, payroll management, or related fields.
• Strong expertise in HR policies, compensation structures, and benefits coordination.
• Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Extensive knowledge of 401(k) plan administration and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with workers’ compensation processes and audit coordination.
• Proficiency in conducting audits and preparing financial reports.
• Experience managing payroll for small to mid-sized organizations.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills to effectively liaise with vendors and employees.
