The Manager of Accounting will have broad responsibilities for accounting activities including analysis, verification, processing and posting of financial statement activity for Active Media Services, Inc. and related United States based entities as well as aspects of the Company’s global financial reporting consolidation. This role will include detailed accounting, reconciliation and analysis as well as managerial responsibilities. This position’s responsibilities may grow as needs and capabilities evolve.
Responsibilities Utilize and apply a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure to effectively perform accounting activities and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles as well as management plans and policies. Review general ledger account reconciliations, journal entries and accruals.Ensure timely and accurate monthly and quarterly accounting closes as well as production of related financial reports.Able to understand and compile cash flow reporting and support.Develop and implement policies, procedures and improvements that increase efficiency, effectiveness and accuracy. Maintain and enhance relationships with various internal departments. Review accounting systems to determine their efficiency and overall value to the organization.Hire, train, evaluate, lead and develop staff. Provide coaching, guidance and support to enable employees to reach their full potential. Monitor progress of established goals.Participate in or lead special studies/projects as assigned for process improvement. Develop, implement and monitor adherence to procedures.Act as liaison with external auditors on audit and other matters, where applicable.Manage several staff and senior accountants. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree accounting or finance required.MBA and/or CPA preferred.Minimum requirement of five plus years combined public accounting and/or private industry accounting experience.Staff management experience is preferred but not required.Must demonstrate a progression in complexity of auditing and accounting tasks.Knowledge of PeopleSoft or other ERP software accounting software preferred.Intermediate knowledge of Excel and Word required.Proficiency in Outlook is required.
Travel
This position does not require significant travel, although minimal travel may be required for professional development, etc.

The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $150,000. The successful candidate’s salary will depend on actual ranges of current employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, geography, as well as the candidate’s skill set, level of experience, and qualifications.
