Responsible for the daily operations of the department.  Manages all resources in order to meet patient needs, & providing an environment conducive to employee growth.  Functions collaboratively and in partnership with senior administration to develop & implement a strategic plan & to meet short & long term goals. Provides guidance, facilitates & works cooperatively with physicians/clinicians, administration & support staff involved in the quality & performance improvement process, including the identification, development, implementation & assessment of clinical quality & patient safety in compliance with accreditation & regulatory agencies.

Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts acquired  through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration or closely related field, and three to five years of work related experience.  Master's in Health Care Administration or closely related field preferred. CPHQ certification preferred.  Work requires the knowledge of federal and state regulations, standards, and practices for an acute care hospital.  Work requires the analytic ability necessary to resolve problem requiring a professional level of knowledge in specific discipline/field and to design complex educational, clinical, data processing systems and programs.  Must possess strong customer service communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
