Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is seeking a **Manager Mission Assurance 1** for the Mission Assurance Supplier Quality Engineering Functional Homeroom. The candidate does need to be located in the El Segundo, CA area and this is a hybrid role.
Responsibilities include:
+ Managing a team of Supplier Quality (SQ) Engineers and Analysts, located remotely, by ensuring the team is engaged and processes are calibrated across the team in order to manage the supply base efficiently and effectively
+ Managing the SQ Functional Home Room budget.
+ Training and development of employees within your Functional Homeroom
+ Developing and implementing SQ evaluation and control systems
+ Supports the maintenance of the Approved Supplier List (ASL) and Approved Special Process List (ASPL). Leads periodic reviews of supplier performance to determine whether suppliers should remain on the ASL.
+ Keeps management apprised of supplier performance, quality status, and risks. Develop plans to respond to risks and issues in the supply chain.
+ Representing SQ in front of Program, Global Supply Chain, and Mission Assurance directors and vice presidents, customer and supplier executive leadership teams
+ Representing SQ during 3rd party, internal and customer audits and assessments
+ Collaborating with Mission Assurance, Program SQ and GSC personnel and leadership to ensure policy, processes and tools are clear and adequate.
+ Establishes and implements innovative strategies and tactics to drive predictability and affordability across the supply base
+ Interacts with internal and external customers to ensure collaborative management of the supplier issues and risks
+ Travelling domestically on short notice
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 9 years of experience in the Aerospace Industry in a Quality Environment or a Masters degree and 7 years of Aircraft, Aerospace or Manufacturing Industries in a Quality Environment
+ Minimum 5 years of Supplier Quality experience
+ SAP/S4 Experience
+ AS9100 Knowledge
+ Minimum 3 years of Continuous Improvement experience in a Leadership/Lead role
+ Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
+ The ability to obtain/maintain DoD clearance
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Approved Supplier List experience
+ Counterfeit Parts Prevention experience
+ AS9100 Lead Auditor trained
+ Strong orientation to change in a dynamic environment.
+ Sophisticated level of understanding of complex quality policies, procedures, governmental regulations and workflow.
+ Ability to analyze alternative courses of action where decisions have risk/reward implications for program or area of influence.

Salary Range: $118,000.00 - $177,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
