Manager - Medical Program Operations

**Overview**
The Manager, Medical Program Operations will provide general administrative duties, with a specific focus on financial and budgetary functions. This position will oversee the financial health of medical programs by providing strategic direction and managing financial planning. The incumbent will ensure efficient and effective operations of multiple medical programs, which require that the incumbent be highly responsive and an effective communicator to provide complete follow-up to Medical Program Operations leadership as well as departmental directors.
**Responsibilities**
1. Oversee and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial strategies to align with organizational goals. Monitor all department financial reports.
2. Lead, mentor, and supervise Financial Assistants and Financial Analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. Collaborate with Project Developer on performance appraisals, delegation of assignments, and work flow for assigned staff.
3. Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization.
4. Generate, distribute, and review reports with clinicians and/or directors.
5. Represent the department in budget meetings. Present financial insights and recommendations to Assistant director, Medical Program Operations, Director, Medical Program Operations, and department directors and managers.
6. Liaise with Finance, Research Administration, Human Resources, Information Systems, Patient Access, and other support departments to meet daily operating needs.
7. Create, maintain, and enter data into reporting tools and databases that monitor all specified program(s) operations. This may include, but not be limited to, coordinating audits, ensuring data accuracy, and managing EPIC to General Ledger interface.
8. Assist directors in the oversight of entire clinician portfolios to align with productivity and work scope.
9. Support individual clinicians in effectively managing their portfolio of funding sources related to the tri-partied mission.
10. Analyze budgetary trends and make recommendations for proper adjustments in the schedule template to assure solvency.
11. Assist in preparing the fiscal year budget for assigned programs.
12. Coordinate and collaborate with the Project Developer and Financial Analyst to exchange information and prepare for meetings appropriately.
13. Keep department management/leadership informed of assignments, scheduling changes, and other matters directly impacting efficiency of clinical operations.
14. Maintain performance management system for assigned staff, to include meeting regularly with subordinates, reviewing performance, creating development plans, and completing initial evaluation/annual performance appraisals in collaboration with the Project Developer.
15. Submit position requisitions, job descriptions, and personnel change notices to Human Resources as needed.
**Qualifications**
EDUCATION:
* Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field required. Four years of related experience beyond the minimum requirement may be substituted for this degree requirement.
* Master’s degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
* Minimum three years of experience in financial and database integrity management.
* Experience with excel and financial software preferred.

USD $71,518.51/Yr.

USD $127,585.95/Yr.
