Our strength in healthcare innovation empowers us to build a world where complex diseases are prevented, treated, and cured, where treatments are smarter and less invasive, and solutions are personal. Through our expertise in Innovative Medicine and MedTech, we are uniquely positioned to innovate across the full spectrum of healthcare solutions today to deliver the breakthroughs of tomorrow, and profoundly impact health for humanity. Learn more at https://www.jnj.com **Job Function:** Legal & Compliance **Job Sub** **Function:** Law Business Partners **Job Category:** Professional **All Job Posting Locations:** São Paulo, Brazil **Job Description:** We are searching for the best talent for **Manager, Legal Operations to be in São Paulo, Brazil.** **Purpose:** Lead the Legal Operations team in Latin America, partnering and providing guidance for the development and execution of the Legal Operations strategy of the Global Legal Organization. + Interact with Global Legal Organization leadership to plan and execute targeted workstreams. + Implement financial management initiatives: planning, contracting, executing (including vendors/law firm sourcing and vendor management) and monitoring. + Operationalize current and future mechanisms to evaluate spend optimization initiatives. + Create, maintain, and enhance strong client relationships across various levels of the organization. + Collaborate with internal and external subject matter/content experts, business partners and vendors to create and design department best practices, processes and guidelines. + Support initiatives to foster digital transformation and innovation, using new technology, Chat Bot and AI. + Team leadership and management (analysts and interns). **You will be responsible for:** + Build a Legal Operations function: in alignment with Global Legal Organization leadership and Global Legal Operations team, define priorities, build and enhance current internal team tools (SOPs, training materials, FAQs, internal material and contents), and create a structure to the legal teams in Latin America and enhance decision-making. + Partner with attorneys and teams across Latin America for the development and execution of the financial governance and budget in the region, including headcount planning, monitoring expenditures, and recommending and instituting budget revisions when necessary. This includes serving as legal’s primary liaison with the finance department partners, to manage forecasting and budget variances. + Apply creating thinking to tangible situations and suggest innovative ways of driving forward the GLO in the region through the different critical processes (e.g. matter management, billing systems, payment and workflows), technology (e.g. e-billing systems, AI related tools) and information (e.g. training, knowledge management systems, etc.) + Analyze outside counsel billing practices against the department’s outside counsel guidelines to deliver the operational business requirements for legal technology solutions on schedule and budget. + Develop partnerships with Corporate Business Technology Team to identify best practices and up to date on the latest process and technical advancements to automate and modernize workflow and business processes to enable operational targets. + Support the GLO’s efforts to benchmark and leverage best practices and implementing department metrics and reporting. Stay aware of legal operations trends and advise on needed upgrades and improvements. **Qualifications / Requirements:** •Required Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree • Required Years of Related Experience: 7+ years of Legal Operations, Technology and/or relevant Finance or Accounting experience. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: + Expertise on financial and budget governances and controls, litigation management (processes and tools), Legal Operations cost containment strategies and Legal Matter Management and eBilling systems, and other commonly used Corporate Legal platforms and technologies. + Proven success operating in global, matrix environment with numerous cross functional business partners. + Presentation skills, ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely and ability to assess, discuss and implement improvement opportunities, solutions and plans. + Ability to influence and teaming skills to partner at all levels. + Proven ability to examine issues, make appropriate decisions and ensure necessary actions. + Project management experience. + Required Years of People Management Experience: 5+ Advanced English + Percentage Traveled: Less than 10%
