Your Key Responsibilities

 

Ensure creation and enforcement of intellectual property rights for the company in all countries with business operations and ensure the intellectual property rights of competitors are not infringed. Develop and implement a comprehensive intellectual property strategy. Facilitate filing processes and obtain patents and trademarks for Schaeffler at the respective patent and trademark offices. Provide advice on IP matters and related support for all affected entities of Schaeffler (e.g., R&D, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain Management). Collaborate with international external service providers, especially with patent attorneys, for filing and defending intellectual property rights. Maintain complete overviews of all intellectual property rights and disputes of Schaeffler, including risk assessments and patent terms.

 

Your Qualifications

Required:

Juris Doctorate Completed  Patent Bar Completed  10 plus years' experience  External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment VISA or other sponsorship

Preferred: 

Experience leading a team of IP attorneys / Paralegals  Experience working with in-house counsel
