Manager II, Release Management

About your role:
A successful Manager II, Release Management at Fiserv is pivotal in ensuring seamless releases of our financial software products. By meticulously planning and overseeing the deployment process, you ensure our clients receive timely updates that are robust and reliable. Your dedication and foresight directly contribute to enhancing customer satisfaction and maintaining Fiserv’s reputation as a leader in fintech innovation.

What you’ll do:

Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with releases, ensuring minimal disruption to the production environment.Facilitate communication between different teams and stakeholders, keeping everyone informed about release progress and any issues.Ensure that releases meet quality standards and are properly tested before deployment.Improve the release process, identifying areas for automation and efficiency gains.Maintain documentation related to the release process, including release notes and procedures.Manage relationships with stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.Foster a continuous improvement mindset, constantly seeking ways to optimize the release process.Allocate resources effectively to different release activities.Develop release plans, define release schedules, and manage dependencies between different components and teams.Coordinate with development, QA, operations, and other teams to ensure smooth and synchronized releases.

Experience you will need to have:

8+ years of experience in project management or release management or software deployment.6+ years of experience in coordinating cross-functional teams.6+ years of experience in project management and/or Agile methodologies.Bachelor's degree in business or related field and/or equivalent military experience.

Experience that would be great to have:

6+ years of experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab.6+ years of experience with ITIL framework and release management practices.6+ years of experience in managing releases for large-scale enterprise systems.6+ years of experience in risk management and issue resolution during product releases.

Salary Range

$120,000.00 - $198,000.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey, New York and California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.

For incentive eligible associates, the successful candidate is eligible for an annual incentive opportunity which may be delivered as a mix of cash bonus and equity awards in the Company’s sole discretion.
