This role is part of Alcon's Commercial & General Management function, a team that oversees the company's commercial strategies to ensure operational efficiency and support strategic decision making as we transform the eye care industry.

The Manager II, Government Affairs & Health Policy (Professional Path) is primarily responsible for supporting and advancing the organization’s interests through government relations, public policy, and regulatory strategies. You’ll build strong relationships, advocate for key issues, and ensure compliance while leading complex projects and collaborating across teams. Specifics include:

• Develop and implement government affairs and health policy strategies to advance the organization’s interests
• Monitor, analyze, and report on legislative and regulatory developments that impact the organization and its industry, preparing updates and strategic recommendations for senior management
• Advocate for the organization’s positions on key policy issues and represent the organization in meetings, hearings, and other forums with government officials, industry associations, and stakeholders to influence public policy and regulatory decisions
• Build and maintain relationships with government officials, policymakers, and industry influencers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of government affairs and health policy strategies with business objectives
• Develop and implement advocacy campaigns and initiatives to support the organization’s policy goals
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and reporting requirements
• Provide guidance and support to team members on government affairs and health policy matters, and stay current with industry trends and advancements
