As the Manager – Post Trade, you will lead the global Corporate Actions team, overseeing the end-to-end management of corporate action events. This includes ensuring accurate event creation, investment decision capture, instruction to custodians, and entitlement processing across a variety of asset classes and markets. You will also be responsible for global workflow oversight, team leadership, operational risk management, and driving process improvements.
Key Responsibilities Operational OversightManage daily operations for corporate actions including income processing, instruction execution, and entitlement allocation.
Oversee global workflows and ensure smooth regional handovers and compliance with SLAs.
Supervise critical tasks such as dividend and interest processing, and the handling of both mandatory and voluntary events.
People LeadershipLead and develop a high-performing team through coaching, feedback, regular 1:1s, and performance appraisals.
Foster a culture of inclusion, accountability, and continuous learning.
Risk & ControlProactively identify operational risks and implement robust controls to mitigate issues.
Conduct root cause analysis and ensure transparent disclosure of material risks in line with compliance and audit standards.
Maintain and enhance Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and Risk/Control Assessments (RCA).
Stakeholder ManagementBuild strong relationships with internal stakeholders including Investment, Compliance, Tax, and Accounting teams.
Liaise with custodians and external parties to ensure timely and accurate processing.
Represent the team in internal leadership forums and external industry discussions.
Process Improvement & Change ManagementLead or participate in business change initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.
Keep documentation including procedure manuals, audit records, and service materials up to date.
Manage and resolve corporate action-related queries efficiently and accurately.
Mandatory Skills10+ years of experience in Corporate Actions within Custodian or Asset Management environments.
Extensive knowledge of both mandatory and voluntary events including dividends, mergers, rights issues, and buybacks.
Strong expertise in income processing, SWIFT messaging, and the full asset lifecycle.
Proven experience managing and developing operational teams.
Deep understanding of operational risk and control environments.
Experience working with Equities, Bonds, Unit Trusts, and CFDs.
Strong numerical and analytical abilities, with experience in root cause analysis and Management Information (MI) reporting.
Good-to-Have SkillsExposure to Private Assets and Leveraged Loans.
Experience with general meetings and broader stakeholder engagement across cross-functional teams.
Project and change management experience is advantageous.
Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in global corporate action handling.
