Manager I, Site Controller
PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Manager I Site Controller will take both a hands-on approach and a leadership role identifying productivity improvements and impacting the profitability of the plant and will have overall responsibility for budgeting and financial analysis and planning.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible of the financial operations of the plant including reporting, analysis, forecasting and maintaining a robust control environment.
Act as a key business partner to the Plant Manager performing ad-hoc tasks to satisfy requests and inform plant leadership of financial implications of business decisionsPrepare and analyze monthly financial results and KPI Reporting. Track trends and validate deviations, identify risks and opportunities and drive mitigation actions.Ownership of Budget process working with plant leadership to set direction and establish financial targetsDirect monthly forecasting processOversee monthly close processMaintain accurate product costing records and manage year-end cost roll up of new standardsEnsure accurate and timely recording of inventory transactions, collaborate with the production and supply chain teams to optimize inventory levels and highlight and mitigate E&O riskConduct periodic inventory audits to verify accuracy and reduce discrepancies.Manage and improve Internal Controls and ProceduresPartner with other functions and serve as lead financial support for plant projectsSupport and guidance with plant leadership to understand product line profitabilityAssist Internal and External auditor during plant audits, identifying root causes and remediation plans for control deficiencies, and track implementation status’. Drives all finding and/or process improvement opportunities to timely closures.Internal Relationships:
Reports direct to Sr Manager, Controller RegionExtensive relationships with internal employees (cross-functionally),i.e Engineering, Operations, RBS, & Finance functional groups on a variety of Operational Issues.Interacts with Thomson, RRx Corporate professionals to share best practices and collaborate on various initiatives.Other divisions and platforms within Thomson as neededExternal Relationships:

IV.REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION
Education – Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance or SimilarExperience – 3 to 5 Years inimum experience in accounting/finance in a manufacturing environment.Expertise in standard costing, inventory control, variance analysis & financial reportingMust have strong analytical and problem solving skills.Must have a strong understanding of the manufacturing floor.Foreign Language – Spanish/English fluency required.Strong understanding of the balance sheet and P&L statement in regards to reconciliations, accruals and journal entries for ME close.Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and flexible.
