Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it. **Role Definition** : At Caterpillar, the **Workday Reporting Architect** guides the strategy, development, build, and update of Workday reports, dashboards, and worklets. The Reporting Architect is the technology subject matter expert determining how we leverage Workday’s reporting solutions to meet Caterpillar’s business objectives. They translate those solutions into requirements, build plans for implementation, and work with other Workday Architects across the product offering to appropriately release enhancements. This Reporting and Architect must be able to lead and influence a global, matrixed organization, drive execution, and effectively manage a diverse group of internal stakeholders around the globe. **What You Will Do:** + The Reporting Architect will provide values-based leadership to a team of Reporting Analysts + Designing, building, testing, and implementing Workday reports and dashboards, leveraging advanced reporting tools when needed, in partnership with Workday Functional Area Architects + Educating end-users to facilitate the best use of reporting tools and applications + Performing reporting audits to ensure accuracy, compliance, and optimal user experience + Troubleshooting reporting issues by identifying and resolving problems at the root causes + Consulting on system implementation and business integration projects **What You Bring:** + A 4-year degree in a business or IT related field + 3+ years of professional leadership experience + 3+ years of proven ability building and maintaining Workday HCM Reporting & Analytics + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + A willingness to obtain Workday certification + The ability to understand HR strategic intent and develop solutions that align with the strategic direction + Strong analytic and diagnostic skills as well as a data-driven solutioning approach + The ability to influence and work effectively with business partners globally + Success working within a large matrix organization across functions and with senior leaders in the organization + Strong planning and organizational skills + Ability to work under pressure on multiple projects with minimal supervision and within multiple time constraints. + Knowledge of Organization: Knowledge of the organization's vision, structure, culture, philosophy, operating principles, values, and code of ethics; ability to understand the value of aligning capabilities with business goals to support optimal performance. + Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization. + Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation. + Data Gathering and Reporting: Knowledge of tools, techniques and processes for gathering and reporting data; ability to practice them in a particular department or division of a company. + Talent Transformation: Knowledge of the concept and strategies of talent transformation; ability to harness the potential and skills of employees to help them reach leadership positions while achieving the organization's strategic business objectives. + Succession Planning: Knowledge of policies, techniques, methods and processes of succession planning; ability to identify and develop internal employees for the future fulfillment of an organization's core positions. + Talent Management: Knowledge of how an organization attracts, recruits, retains, identifies and develops talent; ability to develop the talent required for an organization to achieve its short-term and long-term goals. + Training and Development: Knowledge of employee training and development methodologies; ability to ensure that a target population has the knowledge and skills required to meet both tactical and strategic objectives. **Additional Info** : + The primary location for this position is Dallas, TX. + Travel up to 10%-15% + Sponsorship is not available for this role. **About Caterpillar** Caterpillar Inc. is the world’s leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, off-highway diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives.
