Northrop Grumman is looking for you to join our team as a Manager, Hardware Engineering 1 based in McClellan, CA.
Leading a group of engineers that conducts research, design, development, and testing of information processing hardware such as computer chips, circuit boards, computer systems, mechanical and electrical components. This position leads a group for component engineering of existing products for a large-scale missile defense program. Additional duties and areas of responsibility for developing technical specifications for production/suppliers use, analyzes hardware configuration and processing solutions, and tests hardware (electrical, mechanical, composite) for conformance to specifications in accordance with MIL-STD-11991 and/or SD-19. Work/guide 2 week agile work intervals for tasking/assignments for team individuals.
Functional home room responsibilities for “care of the team”. This includes providing mentoring, quarterly performance reviews, handling any necessary disciplinary actions, ensuring LX training requirements are met, program office interface, ensuring program cost/schedule milestones are achieved, developing staffing plans, and establishing department indirect budget (expense materials/tools, and overhead for training/seminars/etc.).
Basic Qualifications:
Must have US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD clearanceBachelor of Science degree in technical discipline and 5+ years' experience OR Master of Science degree in a technical discipline and 3+ years of experience in an engineering field2yrs minimum Program/Engineering leadership of teams either as manager or as engineering lead3yrs minimum experience in selection, use, or design with electrical components, mechanical components, or composite materials.Ability to write Statement of Work and relevant technical specification documentsPreferred Qualifications:
