Position Summary:
The role would suit a candidate with excellent knowledge of the Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Order to Cash (OtC) processes and procedures who has a keen interest in designing, improving and implementing standardised policies, procedures and tools encompassing credit, cash application, collections, dispute management and reporting. Exceptional organisational skills, ability to work as part of a team and independently and a passion for PPI are essential to perform this role effectively. Additionally, the GPO Manager will support the GBS Global OtC Workstream Leadership with the implementation of the vision, strategy, and execution roadmap for OtC on a global scale.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the design and implementation of the end-to-end process taxonomy for OtC
Partner with Operations and the GBS Enablement team to drive sustainable end-to-end process improvements globally that align with business strategy
Partner with business and IT to resolve issues and implement improvements
Help with the implementation of OtC enabling technology roadmap and solutions and ensure optimal use of existing systems
Support global system implementations and transition projects within GBS
Participate actively to Global OtC initiatives/ programmes (VSMs, Kaizens etc) with a view of driving global process standardisation and efficiencies within function
Proactively seek out and assess process simplification and standardization opportunities that will eventually drive Automation within the process
Drive global deployment and adoption of a standard end-to-end process within and across Shared Service Centers whilst minimizing the requirement for customization as required
Collaborate with the Operations teams to ensure resources are properly trained on processes, policies, and systems
Drive ongoing policy governance and compliance

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Educated to higher grade level
Proven expertise in OtC end-to-end processes
General understanding of the main Finance functions performed in the Shared Service Centre
Thorough working knowledge of relevant accounting systems, policies and procedures.
Good understanding of the PPI methodology and general concepts of process improvements
Expert system knowledge of any existing ERPs (SAP, Oracle E1) and software programs (Cforia, Dploy, etc) is essential to perform this role effectively and efficiently
Experience with Process Mapping would be a plus
