We partner closely with stakeholders to align AI innovation with Bloomberg’s strategic objectives, focusing on optimizing data workflows and elevating the quality, intelligence, and usability of the data that drives our products. Our work amplifies the impact of the Data organization by delivering intelligent data solutions and domain-informed systems that improve the capabilities and competitiveness of Bloomberg’s offerings. **What's the Role?** Data is what powers the Bloomberg Terminal and all of our enterprise products. With the vast amount of structured data available – and growing every day, we are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Manager to lead our annotation teams responsible for producing high-quality training and evaluation datasets tailored for generative AI applications in the finance domain. This role will be instrumental in establishing standard processes for data generation and annotations while ensuring alignment with business goals and technical needs. You will work closely with other teams including Product, Engineering, and the CTO’s office to deliver data artifacts encoded with deep financial expertise. Your leadership will directly craft the future of intelligent Bloomberg products through high quality data and domain expertise. **We’ll trust you to:** + Develop and scale annotation teams focused on curating datasets that support the development of generative AI applications. + Contribute to the development and implementation of the best-in-class standards, processes, and quality controls for data annotation programs. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data efforts with strategic and technical priorities. + Ensure annotation outputs reflect robust financial subject matter expertise. + Drive innovation in annotation tooling, automation, and workflow optimization. + Establish performance metrics and continuously improve efficiency and data quality. + Cultivate a collaborative and high-performing team culture focused on excellence and impact. + Lead, mentor, and develop team members and emerging leaders, ensuring growth opportunities and a clear path for career development. + Promote an environment focused on mentorship, feedback, and continuous learning across the annotation organization **You’ll need to have:** + 10+ years of experience in annotations, AI/ML workflows, or related domains, including 7+ years of people management experience + Consistent track record running large-scale annotation or data labeling programs. + Deep understanding of generative AI systems and the importance of high-quality training data. + Record of working with cross-functional teams developing successful products + Ability to explain sophisticated topics and content to clients & non-technical audiences + Familiarity with financial concepts, data, and applications + Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. + Blend of long-term strategic vision with tactical focus + Dedication to grow an inclusive and diverse environment **We’d love to see:** + Advanced degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant. + Experience working at or supporting financial services firms + Previous experience working in a technical focus or engineering role + Experience with modern annotation platforms and practice Does this sound like you?
