Manager - Fund Accounting - Real Estate
DescriptionThe Manager will work closely with the Directors to ensure the smooth operation of the Real Estate Accounting team daily, overseeing various functions, including client accounting, financial reporting, company secretarial services, governance, and transfer agency operations.
\nIn this role, the candidate will engage with clients at a senior level, providing practical solutions to challenges and proactively ensuring the delivery of high-quality services.

Key ResponsibilitiesFulfils an exemplary role in promoting and applying the organisation's vision and values.
Operational Activities\n\nReview annual IFRS financial statements including cash flows and accompanying notes for funds.\nOversee consolidation processes, ensure proper treatment of complex structures, and evaluate nuances such as NCI calculations, various consolidation methods, currency translation reserves and complex consolidation adjustments.\nProduce periodic investor reports, including detailed net asset value (NAV) calculations.\nReview statutory annual accounts of Luxembourg companies/funds in accordance with Luxembourg GAAP.\nConsolidate group accounts and evaluate consolidation complexities such as non-controlling interests, various consolidation methods, and currency translation reserves.\nCalculate management fees, equalisation charges, performance fees, and loan interest.\nCoordinate and manage year-end audits, ensuring deadlines are met.\nDetermine the out-of-scope services being performed by the team.\nParticipate in the profitability assessment per client group and propose how to resolve the ongoing issues.\nClient Relationship Management\nServe as clients' primary point of contact on all accounting and reporting matters.\nBuild strong relationships with clients and external stakeholders, including tax advisors and auditors, to ensure timely and effective service delivery.\nTeam Supervision\nLead and mentor a team of accountants by providing training, coaching, and guidance on complex transactions.\nDelegate responsibilities, review team output for accuracy and timeliness.\nSupport recruitment and ongoing professional development efforts to maintain a high-performing, client-focused team.\nMiscellaneous\nPerform ad hoc tasks on day-to-day basis. \nAdequately complete and timely submit time sheets. \n

Desired Skills and ExperienceKey Requirements\nAbility to work independently, taking ownership of operational challenges and decision-making with little support from upper management.\nExceptional verbal and written communication skills to engage with clients, colleagues, and senior management confidently and assertively. \nAbility to analyse issues from multiple perspectives and develop creative solutions that balance technical and operational requirements.\nCapability of managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage client relationships.\nMinimum Education, Qualifications and Working Experience\nBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field.\nAn advanced professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is strongly preferred.\nAt least 5 years of experience in Fund Accounting.\nAudit experience is considered an asset.\nLanguagesFluency in English is required; proficiency in French and/or German is an asset.Computer SkillsProficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
