Dietary Manager (C.D.M. a plus) – CVI – Rehab Center Skilled Care at Hartsfield Village (Powers Health)

SCHEDULE:

Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm

Primary person on call for Rehab Dietary Department.

Requires occasional overtime or hours outside the normally defined workday or workweek.

Qualifications and Experience:

High School Graduate or equivalent required Bachelor’s degree in Dietary/Hospitality Management preferred but not required Certified Dietary Manager preferred but not required 2 years of Management experience required Previous experience in a Senior Living community preferred Must have/obtain Servsafe Certification

 

Who Are We Looking For?

The Dietary Manager plays an instrumental role in promoting high quality service as it relates to the dietary and nutrition aspects of life for the residents at Hartsfield Village and helps further our goal of providing excellent care at every level. Ensures patients have a pleasant dining experience by staying organized and meeting all mealtime deadlines, adhering to all quality standards and dietary requirements. Supervises kitchen staff and assigns daily tasks and goals, checking that all work has been completed. Seeking an individual with strong managerial and leadership skills, a strong sense of responsibility as it relates to the cleanliness and safety of the kitchen area and staff, and a passion for providing excellent customer service to the patients they serve.

 

Areas of Responsibility:

Assist in maintaining and enforcing policies and procedures of all meals of all levels of care. Assist in coordinating daily meal preparation adhering to quality standards, dietary standards and established time frames in junction with the Dietitian and Sous Chef/Manager or as directed. Assist in ensuring that all mealtime deadlines are met in all levels of care. Responsible for making sure all tasks assigned to the cooks and stewards are completed for every shift. Responsible for maintaining adequate and balanced food inventory. Responsible for developing appropriate goals and action plans to meet patient expectations. Appropriate interaction with cheerful, helpful attitude with patients and guest in dining room. Practice all safety and loss prevention procedures. Attend care conferences to assess patient needs and determine how to meet or exceed their needs. Conduct all in-services for all employees throughout the department. Conduct all evaluations of all cooks and stewards. Manage department expenses not to exceed budgetary guidelines. Lead and coordinates the staff in deep cleaning and maintenance projects. Responsible for scheduling cooks and stewards to ensure coverage throughout the week and weekends. Conduct patient surveys to ensure satisfaction in quality, service, and problem resolution. Engage in the Hospitality program and the Core Standards Other duties as assigned by the Sous Chef or Executive Chef/Director. Responsible for entering accurate diet orders into RDS menu management system to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
