WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
This is a full-time hybrid role within the Bain Capability Network, where you’ll work with a collaborative team of 80+ professionals in the Financial Services (FS) Centre of Expertise (CoE) —specializing in Banking, Insurance, Wealth & Asset Management, Payments, and other financial services sectors. You’ll work closely with the global FS CoE team, Americas FS leadership, Bain case teams, and expert partners across sectors. This role collaborates deeply with internal and external stakeholders, playing a central part in shaping how the Mexico-based FS CoE grows and delivers value.
WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
This is an opportunity to be a part of Bain’s FS CoE, based out of the Mexico office. The FS CoE collaborates with Bain's global FS practice with expertise-based IP development, data assets, tools, and client development efforts. In addition, the team works closely with global Bain case teams, Research and Data Services, and Expert Partners to deliver client-ready analysis on active strategic consulting cases.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
As the Manager in Mexico for the FS CoE, you will:
Serve as the founding manager in Mexico for FS CoE, responsible for both delivery and team leadershipLead and manage one project/team initially, with a clear path to scaling up to two or more teams over the next 9–12 monthsDrive delivery of FS-focused IP, data assets, CDs, proposals, and cases in collaboration with Americas FS leadershipDemonstrate effective leadership, IP/data assets ownership, and an “at cause” approach to problem-solving and value creationUnderstand client context, situation, and business problem—translate into actionable problems and ensure timely, high-quality delivery to clients through effective team/project managementDevelop strong working relationships with Americas FS leadership and case teams through sharp communication, insight generation, and consistent deliveryShape how the team operates by defining team setup, collaboration norms, and delivery cadence in partnership with local and CoE leadershipRecruit, coach, and build a high-performing team, with a focus on capability development and long-term retentionProvide day-to-day coaching on work-planning, problem solving, hypothesis generation, and consulting toolkit to Project Leads and AssociatesDeliver performance reviews and build a strong team connection through trust-based relationships at all levelsAct as a role model and brand ambassador of the Bain culture
ABOUT YOU
Graduate with a degree in commerce, statistics, or a related analytical field, and 6–11 years of experience in consulting, research, or analyticsStrong command of written and spoken English (C1–C2 proficiency), with the ability to communicate effectively across global teamsPrior experience or knowledge of financial services sectors such as Banking, Payments, or Fintech is requiredCore consulting experience is preferred; candidates from corporate strategy divisions in banks may also be consideredExceptional analytical and technical skills, with familiarity in market research toolsStrong interpersonal and communication skills; a proven self-starter with strong problem-solving and organizational abilitiesExperience working with teams and clients preferredComfortable working in ambiguity and solving open-ended diligence problems
