What you’ll do on a typical day:

Implementation Oversight

Lead end-to-end implementation of revenue recognition systems (Zuora Revenue and Billing) in alignment with controllership objectivesServe as an SME to translate complex financial and business requirements into functional configurationsDevelop comprehensive system documentation to support audit readiness and SOX control frameworksMaintain a solid grasp of O2C process and implications on financial reporting

Revenue Recognition & Reporting

Configure Zuora revenue for regulatory compliance (POBs, revenue schedules, allocation, bundles, charge models, custom fields as per SOW)Partner with global revenue recognition team to design and validate revenue policies and automation logicSupport parallel runs, accuracy checks, and launch readiness for revenue cutover

Data Transformation & Integration

Transform complex transactional usage data into standardized formatsDefine and implement data mapping logic to align operational data with revenue systemBe responsible for data migration strategies ensuring integrity across financial close cyclesDesign validation processes to ensure financial accuracy and audit traceability

Technical Validation & Reconciliation

Design and implement sophisticated test cases across billing and revenue scenariosBe responsible for data reconciliation efforts to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial recordsMaintain traceability between Zuora revenue subledger and the ERP (NetSuite)

Organizational Improvement & Support

Develop, facilitate and lead user training for the global controllership teamsGuide controllership collaborators through systems transitions and upgradesChampion controllership team adoption through proactive enablement strategies

System Governance & Compliance (Post implementation)

Coordinate Zuora revenue controls including user access, segregation of duties, and compliance monitoringEnsure systems support internal control, SOX, and regulatory requirementsLiaise with technology and controllership to handle long-term system improvementsPrepare audit materials and respond to internal and external audit requests

What we’re looking for:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Technology, or related field or relevant experienceAdvanced certifications in revenue management systems preferredCPA or equivalent professional certification a plusShown ability implementing Zuora revenue or similar revenue systems, ideally within a controllership environmentIn-depth knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue accounting processesSolid grasp of ERP systems and data flows within finance organizationsUnderstanding of internal controls, audit support, and financial compliance frameworkCollaborative approach with the ability to work across controllership, technology, and businessPrior consulting or professional services experienceGood project management and communication skills in a finance transformation contextExperience with API integrations, data orchestration, and ETL platforms
