This Dallas-Ft. Worth, TX or Houston, TX – field-based position is a sales oriented and customer-facing role responsible for 1) interfacing regularly with Walmart Store Operations Leadership (Market Manager, Regional VP, Director of Merchant Support, Division SVP) and 2) coaching and training Tyson Foods retail merchandising agency partners and dedicated store level representatives in achieving Tyson business objectives in the Central US.
The execution of these objectives should be in alignment with Tyson company policies, cultural tenants, and values. This includes all Tyson Foods products including but not limited to Frozen, Refrigerated, Fresh Meats and Service Deli. Other duties include and are not limited to:
Collaborating with Walmart Store Operations to support Tyson Foods' business through business reviews and making recommendations on merchandising solutions utilizing Scintilla POS and Shopper Behavior data. Achieving volume goals through incremental selling activity, conducting monthly 30—60—90 planning meetings with cross-functional customer team.Working with cross-functional teams to implement Walmart store execution by performing a range of field activities such as quality audits, gathering category insights, pricing analysis, and tracking competitive activity.Overseeing and achieving retail broker merchandising KPI’s.REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor's degree.
Experience: 3-5 years of Consumer Packaged Goods or Food Service sales experience is preferred, or a combination of experience and relevant education. Walmart customer experience is a plus.
Computer Skills: Requires advanced computer skills with Microsoft office applications with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint; must demonstrate ability to learn quickly. Any data analysis experience is a plus.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Special Skills: Time management, multi-tasking, problem solving, and being a collaborative team player is a must.
Supervisory: No direct supervisory responsibility but influencing agency partners to achieve objectives.
Travel: 24-30 domestic trips per year (at least 2 per month)
