American Express National Bank (AENB) is American Express’ U.S. banking operation serving consumer and small business customers with payments, financing, and savings products. AENB accounts for more than 60% of the overall company’s revenues and net income. AENB HQ drives the administration of programs and services provided by AENB, in partnership with the various businesses, functions and executive officers. The AENB COO Office also plays an enterprise role in driving greater consistency, effectiveness, and efficiency across the first line via its Strategic Planning, Control Management, Program Management, and Governance functions.
The Manager, Enterprise Affiliate Management (EAM) Relationship & Contract Management will be responsible for leading a team of analyst(s) who manage contract lifecycle activities that support enterprise-wide affiliate agreements, while ensuring adherence to governance processes that support Transfer Pricing, Outsourcing Governance, and compliance with the American Express Policy on Third-Party Management and the Interagency Guidance on Third-Party Relationships: Risk Management. Relationship management of each Affiliate through regular engagement, ongoing validation, monitoring and performance reporting will be critical when validating that agreements remain effective and obligations/contract performance standards are being met.
As an enterprise-wide program, an in-depth knowledge of American Express legal entities, products, organizations, and processes will be required to effectively collaborate with key partners while executing new agreement requests and/or refreshing existing agreement inventory. Prior experience interpreting global regulations and guidelines will be beneficial to effectively define what winning looks like country by country, as it relates to the affiliate agreement process adhering to enterprise requirements. Effective communication and thought leadership will be required to collaborate with global colleagues in multiple capacities, including but not limited to, GCO, Tax, Transfer Pricing, Finance, Outsourcing Governance, and various business units.
**Key Responsibilities Include:**
+ Facilitate the end-to-end contract lifecycle management and approval process for new/restated agreements following a risk-based approach, including reviewing enterprise agreement requests, identifying appropriate agreement templates, drafting agreements, monitoring status through the negotiation stage, ensuring completion of necessary approvals during the approval stage, and gathering eSignatures for execution.
+ Engage relevant stakeholders throughout contracting decisions while ensuring adherence to legal/regulatory and/or Outsourcing Governance requirements and Third-Party Management requirements; Coordinates the approval process and sign off.
+ Lead a team of analyst(s) that ensure contract record, supporting documents and contract metadata are properly entered into the Contract Management System, including agreement performance metrics where applicable.
+ Responsible for the negotiation, refresh, of affiliate agreements, including the creation of new agreements on a risk-based approach. Facilitate regular, ongoing Affiliate discussions with Business Unit Affiliate Owners to ensure service descriptions and performance metrics are documented appropriately, and that service obligations are being met.
+ Maintain strong working relationships with key business partners including but not limited to, GCO, Tax, Transfer Pricing, Finance, Outsourcing Governance, and various business units.
+ Support agreement approvers by conducting system demonstrations and troubleshooting within the Contract Management System (CMS) and DocuSign.
+ Develop and maintain a clear communication strategy to engage and inform business partners.
+ Maintain and promote the Blue Box Values by ensuring that work is completed to the highest professional, legal, and regulatory standards, and that the activities subject to approval comply with the Company's stated business ethics.

+ An understanding of American Express products, processes, organization, and governance processes.

+ Ability to systematically analyze complex problems, draw relevant conclusions, implement appropriate solutions, and adapt to change while keeping a continuous improvement mindset.
+ Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, strategic thought leadership, and ability to anticipate needs.
+ Proven to have a global mindset; able to work well across time zones and cultures; demonstrated ability to function as a member of a global team.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Previous experience with project or program management is a plus.
+ Previous experience in product management and technical requirements is a plus.
+ Previous experience with Affiliate Risk Management and the Interagency Guidance on Third Party Relationships: Risk Management a plus.
+ Undergraduate degree required. Advanced degree in Business Administration, MIS, Finance, Accounting or related a plus.
**Qualifications**
Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefits
