This role can be done in a hybrid working model.

Your role: 

As a Sourcing Manager specializing in Direct Sourcing, you will be part of the international Surface Solutions Sourcing Team and will report directly to the Head of Sourcing for Surface Solutions in Germany. You will oversee and select 3rd party spend and category management for Surface Solutions globally as well as for selected international sourcing projects and categories. 

The main task of your position is to manage a Sourcing category for direct Materials for Surface Solution after the transforming into a new company.This position will be managing strategic materials for the new company of Surface Solutions.

The Surface Solutions business unit, a mid-sized multinational leader in the pigments industry, is subject to a planned divestment to the company Global New Materials International (GNMI), headquartered in China, as of August 1st 2025. This role will be part of the divestment. 

 

Who you are:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain, or operations management or other related discipline or equivalent experience and knowledge in lieu of education5+ years’ experience in Sourcing or in materials businesses, supply chain, logistics or commercial business environment20% Domestic and International travel requiredResults oriented and experienced in collaborating internationallyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProfessional negotiation and contracting skills, considerate of legal and regulatory requirementsIndependent problem solving/decision making and the ability to handle multiple, opposing prioritiesExperience in direct sourcingSolid understanding of purchasing processes and ERP systems (SAP/ARIBA preferred)
