We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary

The Manager-Development Programs & Organizational Effectiveness is responsible for shaping the strategic direction and coordination of enterprise-wide leadership and employee development related activities. By leveraging instructional design principles, learning science, and strong business partnerships, the manager delivers development solutions that prepare the organization for the future. Key focus areas include:

Learning Strategy & Execution

Lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide learning programs. Translate business priorities into actionable development strategies. Build scalable, high-impact development programs aligned to workforce needs.


Leadership Effectiveness & Enablement

Oversee the leadership effectiveness team, responsible for coaching, leadership assessments (i.e.- 360s and other tools), and team development experiences.   Equip leaders with tools and insights to lead effectively and build strong teams.


Learning Infrastructure & Operations

Manage learning technologies, vendor relationships, and data-driven program evaluation. Optimize learning delivery models to increase accessibility and impact (in-person, virtual, self-paced).


Communication & Collaboration

Leverage partnerships across HR and Corporate Communications to increase awareness, understanding, and engagement in development opportunities through clear, consistent, and targeted messaging. Champion a learning culture across the organization and embed learning into its fabric.


Note:  This position can be based in either Richmond, Virginia or Cayce, South Carolina.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

8-10 years of relevant experience in learning and development, with a focus on enterprise-wide initiatives and leadership development.

Specific knowledge, skills, abilities and experience include:

Proven ability to design and deliver learning programs across multiple employee levels using a variety of modalities Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and learning technologies Experience using learning metrics and stakeholder feedback to improve program effectiveness Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to coach, develop, and inspire others Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to present clearly and influence at all levels of the organizations Ability to manage multiple priorities and large-scale projects in a dynamic environment Proven ability to build cross-functional partnerships and align learning strategies to business goals Familiarity with leadership models or frameworks (ex: Korn Ferry) is a plus Education Requirements

Education Level:  Bachelor degree required.   Master degree strongly preferred.

Preferred Discipline(s):  Human Resources, Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology

 Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.

Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description

SHRM and/or PHR certification is a plus.
