How will you make an impact in this role?
Responsible for ensuring compliance on Health and Safety in Spain. Also, you will lead the Health and Safety Agenda. This position will serve as the Point of Contact (POC), representing the In-house Prevention Service.
Lead the Joint Health and Safety Committee. Comply with the legal requirements according to the Spanish Law 31/95, and related documentation and reporting.
Coordination with the external H&S Service and Training. Ensure the safety regulatory and Amex Standards are completed. Ensure that they fulfill the contract requirements.
Conduct and review formal risk assessments. Ensure risk assessments are performed and updated according to the legal requirements and agreements with the external service. Manage risk assessments in relation to virtual colleagues.
Psycho-social Risk Management. Lead the project. Partner with the Company Health and Safety key stakeholders to ensure Amex standards and agreements with the Employee Representatives. Provide advice to Amex employees and Leaders.
Workplace Incidents. Manage the investigation and the formal reporting process. Be the point of contact in front of the Labor Authorities (Mutua included). Ensure corrective actions implementation. Provide awareness and report to Amex Colleagues and Senior Leaders.
Workplace accommodations. Ensure the workplace accommodation is being implemented by the business and in partnership with other parties. Coordinate the implementation (furniture, devices, etc.). Ensure process deadline is met and problem solving in partnership with medical. Advise and develop specific risk assessments. Follow-up on long sick leave.
Emergencies. Ensure the legal required documentation is in place (training certificates, emergency plan and procedures) in partnership with Security. Primary Safety contact for Spain representing safety on the Crisis Response Team. Coordinate the AED program in Spain.
Building Maintenance and Contractor Management. Ensure the Facilities Management Contractor Management Standard based on building portfolio. Provide H&S requirements. Coordinate with the Facilities Management Team to ensure mandatory maintenance activities have been performed in the safety critical equipment.
Legal register. Provide update according to the global strategic Program.
Align and engage the Fire Safety, Medical, Technologies, HR and Facilities Management.
Contractor Health and Safety Audit Program. Support and follow up the progress.
Advise and raise awareness on safety on events in partnership with Workplace Services.
Minimum Qualifications
Technician in Occupational Risk Prevention (or official university Master's), in Occupational Safety and Ergonomics (minimum).
Preferred Qualifications
Industrial Hygiene is desirable.
