**About the role:**
The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team in EMEA plays a crucial role in driving the company's financial health and strategic decision-making. This team is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and analysing financial performance to provide insights that support business growth and efficiency. The team collaborates with various departments to ensure alignment with financial goals, identify trends, and recommend actions to optimize resources. The FP&A team supports the organisation as the leader of P&L Management across the enterprise, with responsibility for Performance Management, Strategic Assessment, gross margin management, and cost control, ultimately driving growth and profitability for our business.
The Manager Controlling, Gross Margin Retail is responsible for the financial management, analysis, and optimization of the retail gross margin (GM) performance across the business. You will oversee the budgeting, forecasting, and controlling of retail GM. This role is key in driving profitability through strategic pricing, inventory management, and cost of goods sold (COGS) optimization, and in ensuring that the retail business aligns with broader EMEA financial and strategic objectives.
**What you'll do:**
• Strategic Planning: Contributing to long-range planning and margin strategy by providing detailed financial models, scenario analyses, and recommendations to drive growth and profitability
• Gross Margin Controlling: Monitoring, analysing, and reporting on performance, ensuring alignment with budgeted targets and identifying improvements; provision of actionable insights to drive margin optimisation
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Driving the Retail GM budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring the timely submission of accurate financial plans and updates. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to incorporate relevant assumptions into forecasts.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with Hub Retail, Merchandising, and Operations teams to support strategic decision-making and ensure alignment between financial targets and operational initiatives.
• Financial Reporting & Dashboards: Preparing and presenting regular GM performance reports to senior management, highlighting key trends, variances, and areas for corrective action. Develop and maintain dynamic dashboards to track and visualize Retail GM performance.
• Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities to streamline financial processes, improve data accuracy, and enhance efficiency in reporting and analysis.
• Leadership: Leading, mentoring, and supporting the team, contributing to best practices, knowledge building, collaboration, and professional growth.

**What you'll bring:**
• 7-10 years' experience in financial planning and analysis or controlling, preferably in a global fashion or consumer goods retailer.
• Deep understanding of gross margin management, retail P&L, and inventory management.
• Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to translate business goals into operational execution.
• Analytical prowess that allows them to interpret complex financial data using tools such as Excel and Power BI, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to optimise performance
• Adept at cross-functional collaboration, working seamlessly with various departments to integrate financial strategies with business operations
• Proven agility and ability to adapt to new ways of working; championing future processes, interfaces, and ways of working
• Strong leadership experience, with a track record of developing, mentoring, and inspiring high-performing teams.
• Fluency in English
• Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or economics preferred.
