How will you make an impact in this role?
The Digital Transformation team within Global Treasury Controllership (GTC), supports the Treasury organization as product owners for critical technology products such as Quantum a.k.a. Treasury Management system (TMS), Exposure Management Platform (EMP), Global Funding Platform (GFP) in addition to driving the overall Digital Transformation agenda for GTC through automation and analytics transformation thereby generating value for business partners and the enterprise.
As a member of the Digital Transformation team within Global Treasury Controllership (GTC), this is a Product Owner position responsible for managing various aspects of Treasury Management System (TMS) which is the system of record for AXP’s financial operations annually across Cash, FX, Derivatives, Investments and Debt portfolios besides core accounting and reporting capability. This role will be focused on envisioning and executing the strategic vision of TMS in PO and PMO capacity in developing product capability, managing ongoing stability while ensuring that compliance, audits, and legal requirements are adhered to. The role also includes managing critical regulatory requirements from the platform as well as actively engaging and managing the relationship with the vendor providers of the platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional partners across Treasury, Treasury Controllership and AET to brainstorm innovative solutions, capture requirements and benefits and drive a common future visionEstablish and execute strategic product roadmapWork closely with third party service provider to maintain platform stability through incident escalation and ensure forward progress for capabilities deploymentsDetermine the requirement readiness for development, initial level of E2E solution design, rationalization and prioritizationIndependent monitoring and resolution for incidents impacting daily liquidity reporting processesCollaborate with GFII, Operational Excellence, SOX and Business Partners to deliver defect-free capabilities with the flexibility to meet evolving business needs while satisfying all relevant regulatory requirementsManage project deliverables including, Steerco/Sponsor updates, Strategy/PI session planning, project plan, project call updates, production deployment schedulesOwnership of Professional Services spend, contract execution, invoicing, forecasting, and annual budgeting exercisesProject/program management, white space envisioning, project execution, risk identification and escalation.Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Finance related roleMinimum of 2-3 years’ experience in Product ownership/project/program management.Bachelor’s Degree minimum, MBA or CPA is a plusAbility to build strong relationships, operate effectively within large cross-functional teams, and influence business partners to drive transformational changeAbility to communicate and interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levelAbility to effectively manage multiple deliverables at once and prioritize appropriatelyDemonstrated ability to think outside the box and design industry leading solutionsPreferred Qualifications
Understanding of Scaled Agile (SAFe) principles and experience effectively managing a backlog of competing initiativesKnowledge of Amex processes and/or experience in Global Treasury Controllership or TreasurySalary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
