This position is integral in refining and supporting the technology innovation governance structure, which aims to provide framework for the collaboration between operational project managers and Epic technical services to develop innovative technology solutions that enhance organizational performance. The Continuous Improvement Solution Architect leverages deep expertise in performance improvement strategies and project management to drive effective, scalable, and sustainable solutions that optimize operations, improve patient outcomes, and achieve organizational goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as the primary liaison between operational revenue cycle leaders and IT teams to ensure clear communication and alignment on project priorities and technology solutions.Translate complex operational problems and performance improvement opportunities into well-defined IT tickets, project scopes, and requirements.Collaborate with operational leaders and IT stakeholders to prioritize, scope, and coordinate IT initiatives that address critical revenue cycle and related workflow challenges.Provide insight to optimize governance model, facilitating the collaboration between operational project managers and IT to deliver impactful technology solutions.Lead enterprise-wide revenue cycle analytics initiatives, align insights with organizational financial strategy, operational excellence goals, and continuous improvement initiatives.Develop and implement predictive analytics models and AI-driven tools to proactively identify revenue leakage and performance improvement opportunities.Serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership, translating complex data into actionable insights that influence enterprise decision-making.Champion the integration of emerging technologies (e.g., machine learning, robotic process automation) to optimize revenue cycle operations.Establish cross-functional governance structures to ensure accountability and measurable outcomes for performance improvement initiatives.Oversee various revenue cycle-wide processes, including but not limited to denials & write-off prevention, vendor management, data insights, and systems applications support teams.Analyze, interpret, and summarize pertinent revenue cycle data components, and monitor performance against KPIs to identify and lead process improvement opportunities.Conduct risk assessments to achieve KPI targets, report identified risks to management and provide recommendations for mitigation.Extrapolate market and payer trends and coordinate with operational leaders, managed care, vendor management, and other relevant stakeholders to support the development of action plans to attain top decile metric performance.Develop and manage A/R and performance improvement issues logs, quantifying the impact of improvement initiatives, and prioritizing solutions within a functional area.Support the execution of metric improvement solutions by providing operational leaders with necessary data and insights to take targeted actions.Prepare status reports and action-oriented summaries for executive leaders across the system.Attend and co-lead metric and project calls with senior management and support staff.Develop polished presentations and deliver organized, appropriate updates for senior leaders across the health system.Stay informed on industry best practices, healthcare revenue cycle trends, and emerging technology solutions to continually enhance the organization’s capabilities.CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Current permanent U.S. work authorization required.Bachelor's degree required.Limited travel required.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).Direct supervisory experience.6-8 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare revenue cycle or consulting.Experience with Epic and associated Revenue Cycle applicationsCertification in Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or HFMA CRCR (preferred).Experience leading enterprise-wide transformation or digital health initiatives.Experience managing both onshore and offshore staff – Preferred.Proven analytical and critical thinking skills required to synthesize complex data sets and interpret qualitative and quantitative data and trends to implement recommendations resulting in measurable performance improvement and successful organizational change.Strong presentation creation and delivery skills, including the ability to form messages appropriate for a variety of leaders and roles in the health system.Effective organization and planning skills with the proven ability to manage complex multi-workstream performance improvement projects while delegating and overseeing the work of junior team members.Impactful and professional written and verbal communication to set clear project team direction, develop key deliverables, escalate risks, and influence key stakeholders inclusive of client and internal senior leadership.Understanding of revenue cycle functions and payer denials. Ability to collaborate with team members and counterparts to understand business challenges, adapt implementation methodologies and approaches to ensure results align with the client’s business objectives.Team leadership experience includes building talent, training, supervising, coaching/mentoring, and performance management.Possess a strong operational understanding of revenue cycle processes.Effective and efficient organization and planning skills with the proven ability to manage complex multi-workstream performance improvement projects, while delegating and overseeing the work of junior team members.Familiarity in data visualization and analytics platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL) and ability to guide technical teams in model development.Demonstrated success in leading enterprise-wide change management and performance transformation programs.
The estimated salary range for this job is $115,000 - $145,000. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy and Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future.
