JOB TITLE
Commercial Manager- Grocery | MAF Retail | Head Office Egypt

ROLE SUMMARY
The Manager – Commercial is responsible for coordinating with buyers as well as supporting purchases for Majid AlFuttaim Retail. The role holder is also responsible for assisting with selection and examining products that get to store shelves, in catalogues, and online.

ROLE PROFILE

Develop and execute sourcing strategies for grocery products to ensure optimal stock levels and availability across all categories.Conduct market research to identify new grocery items and suppliers that align with consumer demand and offer cost or quality advantages.Manage the tendering process and RFQs for grocery sourcing, ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders and business objectives.Lead negotiations with grocery suppliers to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and long-term value.Build and maintain strong relationships with grocery vendors, ensuring consistent supply and exploring opportunities for strategic partnerships.Monitor and analyze procurement performance metrics to optimize grocery sourcing efficiency and reduce costs.Ensure quality standards are met for all grocery products through supplier audits and proactive issue resolution.Collaborate with internal teams such as Sales Development and Category Management to align sourcing decisions with market trends and customer preferences.


REQUIREMENTS

Proven experience in grocery retail or FMCG sector, with a strong understanding of commercial strategy, category management, and supplier negotiations.Strong analytical and financial acumen, capable of interpreting data to drive pricing, promotions, and profitability decisions.Very good in English and Arabic, with strong communication and presentation skills to support internal alignment and external negotiations.Leadership and team management experience, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence at all levels.Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.Track record of delivering commercial growth, including experience in developing and executing business plans that drive revenue and margin improvements.
